The Kansas Corn Commission

Who We Are--

The Kansas Corn Commission works to enhance the profitability of corn through market development, research, promotion and
education.

Increasing markets for Kansas corn by creating new export markets, the Kansas Corn Commission works with the US Grains Council and the US Meat Export Federation. These groups work to increase the export market for our corn, and to increase
exports of corn-fed U.S. livestock.

Increasing domestic markets for Kansas corn, the Kansas Corn Commission is a leader in promoting the increased production and use of ethanol, a clean burning, renewable fuel made from the feed grains we grow on our farms. The commission works with the
Kansas Corn Growers Association and National Corn Growers Association in efforts to expand this promising market for Kansas corn.

Bringing new technology to the farm, the Kansas Corn Commission funds research on new production practices as well as new uses for corn after it is in the bin. From packing peanuts to new biodegradable plastics made from corn, the demand for Kansas
corn will increase as its uses increase.

Leading the nation with research on Best Management Practices, buffer strips, irrigation methods, Kansas Corn Commission-funded projects are protecting and conserving our water supplies.
