Are you a fuel retailer looking for information on how to add an ethanol blender pump to your station?

Are you a consumer looking for information on mid-grade ethanol blends?

Visit www.byoethanol.org

Fuel Retailers: Imagine being able to offer your customers a variety of ethanol blends—E10, E20, E30, E40 and E85—all from one pump! You now have that option. These multi-product dispensers provide multiple blends of ethanol from one dispenser by
blending either ordinary gasoline or E10 from one underground tank with E85
or denatured ethanol in a second tank.

NEW KANSAS BLENDER PUMP PROGRAM
Combine Kansas Blender Pump Program funding with state and federal tax incentives to pay for new ethanol blender pumps. The Kansas Corn Commission’s Blender Pump Program provides funding of $2,500 to offset infrastructure costs, plus $500 for promotion for qualified ethanol blender pump programs. Fuel stations that meet bonus criteria can receive up to $3,000 of additional funding. If all bonus criteria is met, a fuel retailer can receive up to $6,000 in infrastructure and promotional funds.

To be eligible, the applicant agrees to offer the following for a minimum time period of 12 months: E10 and E85 fuels along with two blends between E10 and E85 (examples: E20, E30, E40).

E85 Pump Funding: If the applicant offers E10 and E85 blends with ethanol sourced from Kansas ethanol plants, funding and bonus funding will be calculated at 50 percent of funding levels offered to blender pump applicants.

Technical Assistance: The Kansas Corn Commission is a partner in the BYO Ethanol program. Kansas Corn and other corn grower organizations have joined with the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) and the American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE) to provide services through the BYO Ethanol Program. More information on BYO Ethanol can be found at:
http://www.byoethanol.com/

Coupled with state and federal incentives, this is an excellent opportunity to add more ethanol fueling options. Federal is 50 percent and state is 40 percent of infrastructure cost.
